Do you hesitate to volunteer information in meetings because you are not sure how to say the numbers correctly? Would you like to convey numbers relating to turnover, profit margins or even losses in business meetings? Hesitate no more... read down and you can even download a printable ...or take a photo and keep it on your phone...

Say AND before the 2 numbers, which are before a decimal point or a comma.
Sounds complicated?? Let me show you.....
Why not test yourself?
Grand is a very well used slang for thousand.
'That car will cost you twenty grand!'
You will also see K used.
'The house costs 200K.'
In these circumstances K is short for Kilo - which means 1,000.
US Dollars are often called Greenbacks - because the money is green, which incidentally is traditionally associated with money, finances, banking, ambition, greed, jealousy, and Wall Street.
Be aware the American definition of a billion is different from the English definition.
English billion = 1 million million = 1,000,000,000,000
USA billion = 1 thousand million = 1,000,000,000
As time moves on, more and more international organisations are adopting the American version, possibly because there are so few occasions that people would have to use the English one!
